Sophie Conran Sea Green Everyday Gardener’s Gloves by Burgon & Ball. "The Garden & Great Outdoors Collection" has been designed exclusively by Sophie Conran for Burgon & Ball. Working in partnership with Burgon & Ball, Sophie has created a stunning collection of ergonomically advanced tools and gloves, specifically designed with the female hand in mind, and gift sets for lovers of the outdoors.
Commenting on her everyday sized Sea Green gardening gloves, Sophie said “I always wear gloves when I’m working in the garden or the potting shed – it saves me hours with the nailbrush afterwards! Between them, my two different sized pairs of gloves give my hands the protection they need for every job in the garden – as well as adding a little panache to the usual gardener’s attire! I keep this pair of gloves by my back door and slip them on every time I pop out for a spot of gardening. They fit like a glove should and are deliciously comfortable and elegant too.” The everyday gardener's gloves have a protective, soft lined, rib weave outer fabric that gives great flexibility of movement. They have a stretch mesh between the fingers that regulate hand temperature and improve dexterity, with the palms and fingers made from hard wearing yet ultra-soft fabric that doesn’t go stiff if it gets wet.
A message from Sophie... Growing flowers, vegetables and herbs brings nourishment and joy into my life. Gardening and its rich rewards are a fantastic panacea to the hectic pace of life that we all deal with day to day. I grew up with parents who were both enthusiastic gardeners and from an early age have been able to delight in the peace and beauty to be found in the garden. Wherever I have found myself, I have always had the urge to get my hands into some earth and I try to spend as much time as possible outside - crating a garden is a fantastically rewarding pastime. As with most families, my home revolves around the kitchen, which is filled with gorgeous changing blooms from the garden and a rather sporadic supply of fragrant herbs and glorious misshapen vegetables. Not surprisingly, coming from a family of designers, I have been sketching out ideas for products for as long as I can remember. As a gardener I have always dreamed of creating a range of gardening tools and accessories. One of the problems I face as a woman when gardening is that my hands are generally too small for standard tools. My designs specifically address this issue and I hope will add to the joy of gardening with their beauty and improved functionality. I am delighted to be working with Burgon & Ball to produce my tools, because of their exceptional quality and outstanding heritage in garden tool making. UK Postage - The majority of items are posted via the Royal Mail 1st class service or our Courier for heavier orders, although it may also include a 'signed for' postal service at our discretion. All orders under £35.00 are charged a flat rate delivery charge of £1.99 per order (not per item). Any order with a total value £35.00 or above is delivered using a standard delivery service free of charge. We aim for Same Day Dispatch if orders are received before 1.30pm and the items are in stock.
For all orders average delivery time will be between 1 and 3 days, though heavier orders may take up to 6 days. Please note, all greeting cards automatically have free standard UK delivery. For this reason they will not contribute to the £35 order total required to qualify for free delivery when purchasing other products.
Should you have a tight deadline and need a guaranteed delivery date you have the option to upgrade to Royal Mail Special Delivery for an additional charge. Delivery time will be between 1 and 3 days (dependant on postage day as Royal Mail do not guarantee Saturday delivery).
European Postage – All items will be sent via either standard Royal Mail Airmail or via the Royal Mail International Signed For Service (which requires a signature on delivery). Delivery costs vary depending on weight, an estimation can be obtained from the link in the Shopping Cart. Delivery is normally within 5 to 10 days.

returns / cancellation policies are in addition to any statutory rights

goods – Due to our pre-despatch inspection policy it is highly unlikely
that you will receive faulty goods. However, if you do received damaged
goods please contact us for further advice within 7 days and if an item has becomes faulty please contact us via email for further instruction. Essentially
we will offer a full product replacement, posted at our cost, and will
refund the return postage on the faulty item. Alternatively a refund can
be given. Products should be returned to us in the original packaging
and be in their original form. Refunds will be made via your original
goods – If you decide you do not want the goods once they have been
delivered you have up to 21 days to return them for a full refund. If
you wish to return the goods please contact us via email for further
instruction. The goods must be returned to us adequately packed (usually
in the original packaging) and be in their original form (i.e.
resalable condition). The customer will be liable for the return postage
costs, and for your protection it is recommended that a ‘signed for’
service be used (at the very least get a receipt and proof of postage
from the Post Office). The 21-day period will commence from the date of
the invoice. Once the goods have been received back the refund will be
made via your original payment method.

out of stock, at which point we would contact you to advise of an
updated expected delivery date and give you the option to cancel the
